Graduating Chilliwack Chief Josh Hansen will have company next season at the College of St. Scholastica.
Another BCHL grad, Derek Sutcliffe, will be joining Hansen with the NCAA's division-three Saints.
Sutcliffe wrapped up his final junior A season with 15 goals and 20 assists in 52 games with the Langley Rivermen.
“Derek was a guy that we could put out on the ice in any situation,” said Langley coach Bobby Henderson. “His speed was a constant threat and he had a soft pair of hands that allowed him to score goals. St. Scholastica is a solid program and we believe Derek will flourish in that environment.”
The College of St.Scholastica is located in Duluth, Minnesota.
The hockey program plays in the NCHA conference. They had a record of 13-14-1 last season.
