The BCHL announced its major awards finalists Thursday afternoon, with Wenatchee's Brendan Harris winning three trophies.

The Wild star's 23 goals and 98 points led the junior A circuit and earned him the Brett Hull trophy as top scorer. Harris also captured the Vern Dye Memorial trophy as league MVP and the Bob Fenton trophy as most sportsmanlike player.

Victoria Grizzlies blueliner Jake Stevens was named the top defenceman while Powell River Kings freshman Cam Donaldson was given the Bruce Allison Memorial trophy as top rookie.

The Joe Tennant Memorial trophy for coach of the year went to Wenatchee bench boss Bliss Littler.

For each of those awards, an initial round of voting by BCHL bench bosses confirmed one finalist from each of the Mainland, Island and Interior divisions.

Another round of voting produced the winner.

A second set of awards was based purely on numbers.

Harris's Brett Hull trophy win was one of those and his Wild posted a BCHL-best record of 45-9-4-0 to earn the Ron Boileau Memorial trophy.

The Penticton Vees netminding duo of Mathew Robson and Nolan Hildebrand combined to win the Wally Forslund Trophy for the goalie tandem with the lowest goals-against average. Theirs was 2.14.

Vernon Vipers keeper Dario Hanson posted a league-low 1.84 GAA in more than 1,000 minutes of work to take the blandly-named Goaltending trophy.
