BCHL notes: Carter Cochrane packs his bags

The ex-Chilliwack Chief's journey through the BCHL has landed him with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

Former Chilliwack Chiefs defenceman Carter Cochrane is on the move again.

The Trail Smoke Eaters dealt the 20 year old defenceman to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks Aug. 5 in exchange for 20 year old forward Joshua Laframboise.

It’s the second time Cochrane’s been on the BCHL transaction wire this summer.

His rights were moved to Trail by the Cowichan Valley Capitals in early June, with the Caps picking up 19 year old forward Max Newton, 18 year old blueliner Nii Noi Tettehand and future considerations.

Cochrane played for Chilliwack in 2012-13 and came back for a brief stint last year before being traded for Darien Craighead.
