BCHL extra: Eagle D-man joins T-Birds

Ex-Western Hockey Leaguer and BCHLer Linden Saip is heading to UBC to skate for the CIS Thunderbirds.

Surrey Eagles defenceman Linden Saip will play for the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds next season.

Saip spent the last season and a half with Surrey and played 81 games for the Eagles. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound blueliner accumulated nine goals, 25 assists and 119 penalty minutes in that time.

A Surrey native, Saip played two-and-a-half seasons with the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL before coming to the Eagles.
