‘All-Aldergrove’ Bantam Baseball League Finals showdown tonight

The Minor Baseball League's two top Bantam 'A' teams, Aldergrove Red and Aldergrove Blue, play in finals tonight, June 22

It will be an all-Aldergrove Bantam (U-15) “A” Spring League Final on Wednesday evening, June 22, 7-10 p.m., as the Aldergrove Dodgers Red square off against the Aldergrove Dodgers Blue in what promises to be a great game.

The Dodgers Blue advanced to the finals after defeating the Abbotsford Mariners 8-1 behind strong pitching performances by Caden Welch and Michael Adam.

Meanwhile the Dodgers Red came from behind in dramatic fashion in the bottom of the seventh to nail down the 10-9 victory over the Chilliwack Red Sox.

In the regular season the Dodgers Blue notched 19 wins and one loss, while the Dodgers Red had an 11 win, eight loss and one tie tally. The Dodgers Blue were first in the league during the regular season while the Dodgers Red were third, behind the second place Chilliwack Cubs (15W, 5L).

Good luck to both teams in the finals. Come on down to Aldergrove Athletic Park and take in the game.
