Aces at the Icebreaker

Chilliwack Minor Fastpitch teams have started their seasons and got together last weekend for the Icebreaker tournament.

The Waal & Co. Chaos dominated their own tournament over the weekend, going 3-0-1 at the Chilliwack Minor Fastpitch Icebreaker.

The Chaos are a U-12C team.

Off to a 4-3 start in regular season play, they opened the Icebreaker with a 14-14 tie against Mission.

The Chaos followed that with three straight wins, downing Chilliwack (14-8), Abbotsford (15-10) and Langley (10-8) to win their division.

Kaleiegh ‘Cannon’ Haglund, McKenna ‘RBI’ Rushton, Rae ‘The Closer’ Bates and Ms. Homerun, Ellyse Mayes-Krone, were named game MVPs.

Karyssa Parks delivered solid relief pitching out of the bullpen and Ireland Waal produced a game-saving catch in the field.

Chilliwack’s U-12 fastpitch teams hit the Townsend Park diamonds Monday and Wednesday nights.
