The last Perspectives article focused on the community response model to youth suicide prevention where family doctors and school staff recognize and help a young person who is exhibiting warning signs of suicidality.

This is in response to Mayor Gaetz’s comments in the “special report” on page 3 of the Chilliwack Progress, dated April 19. My advice to the mayor is that research is necessary on all subject matter before commenting so that the facts come out correctly.

The author of the “No sympathy for delayed seniors” letter in the April 22 Chilliwack Progress needs to do a serious personal values check.
