As a younger fellow I had an in-grown toenail. I let it go until it became so painful I had to see my family doctor. He advised surgery as I had developed a severe and deep-rooted infection.
I agreed to the surgery. It was painful, and the recovery seemed to take forever, but eventually the pain receded, the infection disappeared, and I was able to walk again.
Ten years ago we elected the BC Liberals to government. Need I say more?
