Recent reports suggest that our re-elected Conservative Member of Parliament Mark Strahl is advocating that his party’s members who have not received COVID-19 shots be allowed into the House of Commons with only a COVID test.
Mr. Strahl has not revealed if he is fully vaccinated.
What is astounding is that our parliamentary representative, to my knowledge, has not sent out one of his riding memos urging our citizens to get immunized throughout this health crisis.
It is ironic that he and his Conservative colleagues castigated the Liberals for not acquiring enough vaccines quickly enough at the beginning of the pandemic.
Then, when all the vaccines were acquired as planned, he was completely silent about his stance.
His actions in recent weeks should continue to bewilder the electorate of Chilliwack-Hope.
