Every once in a while, something comes along that helps to raise your spirits and reinforce your faith in humanity. Despite that times we find ourselves in with the terrible epidemic, I had a birds-eye view to see Phoenix rise from the ashes. I refer to an off-beat but important aspect of our community: the extension of Spadina Avenue from Corbould to Ashwell. It is truly an amazing roadway and I salute the planners, engineers, workforce, and the landscapers on this project.

The effort and hard work through cold, miserable weather, at times, demonstrated beyond a doubt that road building is an art which requires teamwork and attention to detail. It is a beautiful roadway which adds to the lustre of Chilliwack. Sincere congratulations to the municipality of Chilliwack and the engineering department.
