In response to Brennan Phillips' article regarding keeping money out of politics.

For many years, and while having experienced the political landscape as a delegate of the Green Party in Germany in the 1980s, I have watched politicians and their connection to money.

Why is it that so many of them at a salary of, let's say, $150 thousand/year end up as multimillionaires? Wouldn't it be prudent to do a yearly (independent from government) audit to see where our billions of tax dollars really went? How can it be that our nation's debt is ever growing with ever increasing taxes?

It is indeed time for a real audit! I wonder who the people are who would complain about that?
