In this day and age of excessive traffic on all the main roads in our town, I wonder why the City of Chilliwack decided to change Knight Road from four lanes to two lanes between Topaz Drive and Evans Road.

This move causes unneeded congestion. They created a very wide sidewalk in three spots thus causing a major bottle neck as well as a driving hazard because there is now an unmarked curb or hazard in the middle of the road at all three locations.

It has to be the dumbest and very expensive change that serves no purpose. Perhaps the mayor can explain the thinking behind this move.
