Global warming ‘scam’ just a money grab

The scam of man-made global warming and it’s accompanying carbon taxes, carbon offsets, and cap & trade Programs are tax grabs

I am elated and thankful that you have printed the letter by Art Daher. I have always believed that the general public trusts too easily the word of those who claim to be authorities. The issue of Global Warming has been promoted in a world-wide media campaign supported by scientists, politicians and special interest groups who all claim they know how climate works. They remind me of a wild eyed fanatic standing on the street corner waving a sign proclaiming the cartoonish slogan, “The End is Nigh!”

I don’t claim to know how it all works, but when the cure for the problem involves an endlessly increasing tax on my family income, I am reminded of the ancient system of absolution of sins for amounts paid to the religious leader. I do not accept the claims that man-made carbon emissions are causing the earth’s temperature to increase, or that government programs can reverse the problem.

It is clear to me that financial mismanagement of many governments has required levels of taxation that politicians know their voters will not support. The scam of man-made global warming and it’s accompanying carbon taxes, carbon offsets, and cap & trade Programs are tax grabs. They are promoted on the premises that our society is guilty for being so affluent, for enjoying the use of the planet’s resources, and for having so much personal freedom. I don’t believe our government can or will solve this problem, no matter how much more money we give them.

As Mr. Daher states, the mainstream media does not present both sides of the global warming issue so the average person can have an informed discussion on the wide range of possible causes and outcomes. It seems that greedy opportunists have control of the discussion right now. I urge everyone to research groups such as the IPCC, any of the World-Wide Climate Conferences, and a much covered up scandal known as “Climate-gate.” Very little of these machinations has anything to do with saving our precious planet.
