Wilma Eileen ROBINSON

Wilma Eileen Robinson passed away peacefully on Feb. 8, 2003 at home in the loving care of her family.

Wilma’s love of nature and literature from childhood motivated her to write numerous poems throughout her life, which are dearly cherished by all her family and friends. She was an avid reader, finding great pleasure specifically in British history. Wilma was one of the founding members of Club 28, taking pride in the work of this service club. She worked 27 years as Office Supervisor in the Upper Fraser Valley Health Unit. Grandma or Nan, shared a special loving relationship with each of the grandchildren and her great-granddaughter. Her quick and easy smile will be missed by all who knew her.

A private family interment with Rev. Michael Hare, Minister for Carman United Church, officiating. Casket bearers: Bill Robinson, Shawn Robinson, Gordon Hooge, Jeff Hooge, Gordon Mitchell and John Harding. Honorary bearers: Eric Prosser and Gerry Schile.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Feb. 14, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, Rev. Hare officiating with a reception to follow in the tea room of Henderson’s.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Gordon) Hooge, son, Bill (Heidi) Robinson, grandchildren: Jeff Hooge, Shawn Robinson and Crystal Robinson; great-granddaughter Amber Lynn Hooge; sisters: Hazel Fraser, Madaleine McNabb, and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by her husband Jack, Nov. 12, 1992.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Drew Young, Palliative Care nurses, and the home support staff for their loving care and support provided during Mom’s time of need.

Should family and friends so desire, donations in Wilma’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
