It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, opa, and gros opa. Willy passed peacefully on Friday November 20th surrounded by his family. Willy leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Lina; his daughters, Dorothy Kammerer (John Saxelby); Rose Scott (John); Bella Mapson (Ed); Marian Kammerer, granddaughters Kim Mapson (Justin); Jen McMullin (Brad); Angela Scott; Courtney Phillips (Tim); Sarah Magdalinski (Dave); and great-grandchildren: Lina, Jackson, Brooklyn, Bentley, Brock, Cohen and Indiana. Willy is survived by his sister Helga Behncke, brother Fritz Kammerer, and countless nephews and nieces.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Eden Care Home, Willy’s home for the past two years, for the excellent care that he received. A special thanks to Eleanor, Willy’s kindred spirit.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
A celebration of Willy’s life is being held on Thursday, November 26, 11:00 am, at Woodlawn Mt Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Avenue, Chilliwack, BC.
