Bud leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Connie, son Jim(Susan), daughter Vicki (John) Richmond. Five granddaughters and five great-grandchildren. Bud's greatest pride and achievements were firstly his family and then his 30 years as a civilian firefighter at CFB Esquimalt, Victoria 1967-1971, CFB Chilliwack 1971 until retirement as a fire officer at base
closure in 1996. Bud was born in Elkhorn, MB and returned tohis beloved hometown and his dear aunts, uncles and cousins on a regular basis all of his life. The highlights of his life include those trips and other memories like playing his trumpet in marching bands in Victoria, competing annually with B.C. Firefighters Curling Assoc. and the Chilliwack Curling
Club. Golfing, fishing trips to Texada Island, cruises with Connie and friends, traveling in the RV all over Canada and the US. Regular return visits to Victoria to visit life long friends. Bud had many life long friends, a tribute to the kind of man he was. Bud had a long and wonderful life, enjoyed it to the fullest and was known for his smile, good humour, stories and he always whistled. He will now enjoy friends and family gone before.
