February 20, 1931 - May 7, 2022
Bill was born to parents Beulah Grace and Sidney Roy Brett and raised with his 3 sisters: Elaine, Bev, and June on a farm in Chilliwack B.C. He grew up to live a simple, long, and happy life.
Bill had a cute sense of humor and loved animals, especially watching birds in his later years. Below is a list of things that one can remember him by.
Bill enjoyed writing articles for the paper and letters to his family. Writing was his most comfortable form of communication.
He loved everything about basketball, especially shooting hoops.
Enjoyed baking, and always made the family Birthday Cakes.
Spent many hours bottle digging down the backroads of B.C. in his VW Volkswagen Van
Bill also liked Kentucky Fried Chicken, A&W Papa Burgers, and of course Dairy Queen Ice Cream, a passion he shared with Betty.
He enjoyed playing Lotto and trying to calculate the most common combinations drawn decades before there was an app for it.
Bill loved all kinds of music and playing the piano or keyboard by ear. He was very shy, but very talented.
He was especially fond of Christmas because of all its baked goodies and decorations. He was very often seen wearing a toque, even in the summer.
Bill had an uncanny ability to pick out the perfectly worded card for any occasion.
Most of all, Bill loved his Betty with whom he shared his heart and his life for over forty years.
