William Orville FARRELl

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, William Orville Farrell at Chilliwack General Hospital on Sunday, December 10th, 2006.

William was born on March 7, 1927 in Kincardine, Ontario to parents Thomas C. & Hazel Farrell.

He is survived by his loving wife Doreen of 58 years and his three children, Elaine (Curtis) Weeks, Bryce (Frances) Farrell, Bevan (Ann) Farrell, Grandchildren Jasmine Farrell of Kincardine, Ontario, Andrew & Allen Weeks of B.C., Blaine & Blair Farrell of Alberta, great-grandson Deter Nowack, great-granddaughter Victoria Weeks, step-grandsons Tynann Tattersall, Greg Catto & step-granddaughter Cheryl Schell. William was predeceased by his granddaughter Cherie Lynn Farrell in 2001.

He is also survived by sister Lois McGill of Goderich, Ontario, brothers Lynn & Marjorie Farrell, Robert & Gwyneth Farrell, James & Jane Farrell all of Kincardine, Ontario. William was predeceased by his brother in-law Murray McGill.

William farmed for many years before moving to B.C. in 1977. He worked at island Furniture in Sidney & Fraser Downs Raceway before his retirement.

William was a Master Mason from No. 93 Northern Light lodge in Kincardine, Ontario & a Past Noble Grand of the Oddfellows, He was a kind & humble man who loved to spend time with his family, tend his garden & enjoyed long walks with his wife.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Quentin Smith, the kind and caring nurses and care workers at Chilliwack General Hospital who helped our father during this difficult time.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Henderson’s Funeral Chapel at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Catherine Angus officiating. Memorial donations may be made in William’s name to the Chilliwack General Hospital.
