William John OGDEN

August 25, 2004

(March 9, 1959 - August 25, 2004)

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our eldest son, William John, at Eagle Ridge Hospital, Port Moody on August 25th, after a courageous battle with liver cancer.

Bill was born in Edmonton, AB, and moved to B.C. with his family in 1965.

Bill graduated from BCIT in Electronics. He was employed by Norsat as Sr. Engineer for 11 years, then moved to Omnex Control Systems Inc. as Hardware Designer, Research and Development.

Bill was a quiet man who loved music, especially big band and jazz, and played a mean trumpet in several bands.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa; and son, Michael of Port Coquitlam; mother and father, Mary (Vi) and Bill of Sardis; two brothers, Tom (Cindy) of Sardis; Rob (Bonnie) of Langley; two sisters, Patricia (Arnie) Satanove of Nelson, BC; and Dianne of Oliver, BC; also, four nephews, four nieces, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

At Bill’s request, there was no service. Internment was at Vedder View Cemetery, Sardis.

A reception was held on Sunday, Sept. 5 at the home of Bill’s parents, Vi and Bill Odgen of Sardis.
