Born in Vermilion, AB, he passed away peacefully at Heritage Village, Sunday January 20, 2008. Bill was 80 years old.
Bill will be missed so very much by his wife, Sharon; daughter: Kathi Garden; son-in-law: Kurt Mickla; granddaughter: Karah; sons: Chris Garden and Robbi Garden; brother: Roy Garden; sister-in-law: Marilyn Garden of Calgary, AB; mother-in-law: Marie Walker of Victoria BC; sisters-in-law: Carole, Linda, Judy, Wendy, Nancy; step-children: Barbra, Michael; step-grandchildren: Derek, Steven, Tara and Evan; step-great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Payton and Hailie.
Predeceased by father George Garden in 1955; mother, Mary Garden 1980; father-in-law, John A. Walker 1983; brother, George Garden 1994; twin brother Harry Garden 1996; and brother Stan Garden 1997.
Bill was very prolific when building and creating things. As a carpenter he loved working with his hands and it showed when he was speaking. Bill was always there for friends and family. To all Bill was such a great man, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Bill will always be remembered for these attributes.
Thank you to Major Larry of the Community Church for performing the service. Thank you to Heritage Village nurses and staff for looking after Bill from August 11, 2003 to January 20, 2008. Service was held February 2, 2008 at the family home.
