William Godheart Weiss passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2006 at Chilliwack, BC at age 87 years. He was born January 2, 1919 at Gubin, Poland.
Bill is survived by his wife Inez; children, Yvonne (Peter Diebel) of Glenwood, AB, Terry Borowitz and Brett Weiss of Edmonton, AB; stepchildren, Marilyne Erickson, Abbotsford, Loretta (Harland Hendrickson) and Nelson McRea (Joanne) Edmonton, Linda McRae, Chilliwack, Floyd McRea (Rita), OK Falls, Dawne Manley (Daryl Storzuk), Surrey and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and his sister, Doris Van Volsen, Calgary.
He was predeceased by his former wife, Rita and his brothers Adolph and Ed Weiss.
Bill served on four Fronts in World War II, farmed in Ardley for 19 years then moved to Edmonton and worked for Strue’s Drywall for 16 years. Bill and Inez retired to Beaverlodge, AB to homestead there for seven years before moving to Agassiz, BC to live and enjoy the Fraser Valley. Bill will be greatly missed.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 5 at 9:30 am at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 11:00 am at Valleyview Cemetery, Agassiz.
Memorial Service will be Wednesday July 5, 2006 at 2:00 pm from Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking ave, Chilliwack; Pastor Tim Rowan officiating.
If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Rosedale Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund.
