William George Ogden passed away peacefully in Chilliwack, BC on January 17, 2008 at the age of 81 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Bill was predeceased by his son William Jr. (Lisa), his brother Herbert and his sister Contance.
Bill will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 57 years Mary, his brother: Edward; his daughters: Patricia (Arnold) Satanove, and Dianne; sons: Thomas (Cynthia) and Robert; and nine grandchildren: Jessica, David, Michael, Jacqueline (Tyler) Jersak, Gillian, Jenna, Joseph, Justin, and James.
Born in England, Bill came to Canada as a child and grew up in Edmonton.
After serving in the RCAF, he worked for the Canadian Pacific Airlines where he met Mary. This was followed by a career as a typesetter for the Edmonton Journal and then in BC. He retired after working many years as a carpenter for ATCO. Bill was an avid bowler and spent many happy hours in his woodworking shop.
We are respecting Bill’s wishes to be cremated and his remains will be interred at Vedder View Gardens Cemetery, Chilliwack. There will be family celebration of his life at a later date.
