William George "Billy" Middleton

April 27, 1936 - November 24, 2019
"Billy" passed away at Cascade Hospice at the age of 83. He was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to Jack and Ethel (Street) Middleton and moved to Vancouver, British Columbia when a year old. After high school and a short stint with the forestry on Vancouver Island, Bill entered the trucking industry and remained there until retirement, 40 years later in 1993, whereupon he moved to Chilliwack.
Billy was predeceased by his parents and sister, Phyllis Nicholson. He leaves an empty space in the lives of his wife of 56 years, Moira (Moerke) and his two sons and their families; Brian (Hollie) and Shayne (Tiffany Edwardsen); Granddaughters Christina Stevens, Melanie Soo (Matthieu Rowland) Tyleisha Middleton (Alex Smith); Great granddaughters Loralei, Peyton, Katrina and Anastasia; and numerous cousins in Canada, Wales and Australia.
Billy's family extends grateful thanks to the entire staff of doctors, nurses, volunteers and custodial staff at Cascade Hospice. They were not only overwhelmingly thoughtful to "Willie," but to his family as well. His final month could never have been as soothing as it was without the warmth and kindness of everyone there.
His family will be at Meadowlands golf club on December 11th between the hours of 2 and 4 if anyone cares to trade stories about Bill at that time.
