With deep sadness we announce that Bill passed away peacefully at Powell River General Hospital after a brief struggle with cancer.
He is predeceased by his wife Virginia (Cowley) in 1996; his parents Bain in 1963 and Merle in 1926; and his stepmother Jean in 1979.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Vivian, son Russ (Donna), sister Bobbie Jack of Kamloops, BC, many extended family members and a wide circle of friends.
Bill served with the Royal Canadian Air Force as a flying officer during WW11 from August 1941 to September 1945 and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 164.
Many in Chilliwack will remember Bill when he worked in the retail shoe business as well as for LC Pallets Co. from 1970 to 1990s.
There will be no service by request. William will be cremated. In lieu of flowers donations to Powell River General Hospital CAT-Scan fund, 5000 Joyce Ave., Powell River, BC, V8A 5R3 would be appreciated.
