April 22, 1937 - June 14, 2018
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Willem van den Brink at the age of 81. After his battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully at home. Bill was born in Ede the Netherlands April 22 1937. He immigrated to Canada with his family in 1953 and settled in Chilliwack.

In 1962 he married Irene and they had 4 children. Bill began driving truck at 19 and made his last run when he was 79! He's been all over North America doing what he loved. Bill and his family lived in many places in BC. A nightly phone call kept him connected with his wife and kids. He loved and cared for his family and will be greatly missed. We will treasure the memories always.

Bill is survived by Irene, his wife of 55 years, his children, Joan, Len (Tina),Brad, and Jason (Andrea) He was beloved Opa to Kris, Jake,Evan,Shelby, Cole, Logan and Tyson. Also remembered by his sisters Woutje, Willy, Coba(Frank),Evelyn(Jerry), and brothers George (Wilma), Bert(Wendy), Gerry(Carol). And sisters in law Henny and Diane.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Joe van den Brink and Tony van den Brink. Pallbearers are Jake Johnston, Evan Johnston, Al Roseboom, Gerry van den Brink, Jeff van den Brink,  and Colin van den Brink.

The family would like to thank Dr. Harder and his team, also Dr.Zulfiqar and Dr. Sia at the BC Cancer Agency for their kindness and care.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday June 20, 2018 from the chapel at Henderson's Funeral Home. Major Angus Haggarty officiating.
