It is with saddened hearts that we share news of the death of Willy Aardema (nee Van Harskamp), in her
85th year. Born in Arnhem, The Netherlands, Willy came to Canada in 1953, settling first in Alberta, and then in B.C., coming to Chilliwack in 1970.
Willy was married to Kees for 66 years and together had four children, George (Debbie), Margaret (Robert), Mindert (Lammie), and Eric (Bonnie). The family grew to include six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Willy loved spending her time knitting, always having a project on the go. She also enjoyed bowling, going out to bingo, but mostly being with family and friends.
Willy, Mom, Grandma, Oma -- you are missed.
