Wilhelmina "Willie" Metz passed away peacefully on April 7, 2019 at Bradley Center, one week before her 97th birthday.
Born in Chamberlain Sask the 10th of 14 children. Willie was the last surviving sibling. Married Louis Metz 1941 and came to Rosedale / Chwk. area in 1947.
Mom enjoyed life keeping busy with the St. Mary's Church, community activities, lots of volunteering, Young at Heart, Heritage Singers, Tai Chi etc. etc.
Mom had a kind heart and a gentle approach to life, her great attitude and humor got her through life.
Willie's legacy is one of love, strength and honesty.
She was predeceased by her Husband Louis, Infant Son at birth, Son in law Rodrick (Buck) Ferguson, Grandsons Monty Scoitti and Dillon Armitage.
Survived by 4 generations of Family, Louine (Don) Scoitti, Lou (Maggie) Metz, Karen Jones, Rita (Weldon) Armitage, 4 Grand, 6 Great and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
We give you all our love and say farewell. Your wonderful spirit will live on in all of us.
We have been so blessed to have had you for a Mom.
The family is truly thankful to the staff at Bradley Center for their kindness and singing voices.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Church 8909 Mary St. Chwk. on April 16, Tuesday 11:00 am.
