Mar 1, 1928 - Mar 10, 2018
It is with a great deal of sadness that we announce the passing of Mina Bouwmeester with family at her side at Vancouver General Hospital at the age of 90 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by many friends and relatives in Canada and Holland, especially her eight children - Peter (Barb), Beppie (Gerard), Mary (Brian), Bert (Sharon), Ben, Margaret (Con), Angela (Dale) and Paul (Corina). She also had 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Petrus (Pete) Bouwmeester in 1997.

Mina started life in Alphen on the Rijn, Holland and was married to Pete in 1951. They together immigrated to Canada in 1954 and spent their married life in the Langley area operating a dairy farm and raising their eight children for 30 years. In retirement, they moved to Yarrow and after Pete passed away, Mina spent a few more years there before moving back to Langley in 2011.

She moved into Harrison Landing where she made many new friends and enjoyed the social life and activities of her new residence.

On her behalf, we would like to thank the staff at Harrison Landing for her wonderful place to live and the staff at VGH for her great care during her final days.

Prayers on Friday, March 16th - 7:00 PM at Henderson's Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley.

A funeral service will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Langley on Saturday, March 17th at 11:00 AM with reception to follow.

Please donate to a charity of your choice to honour the life of Mina.
