It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wilfred Knight. He passed away Jan 16, 2012 at Cascade Lodge at the age of 92 years.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Shirley Chevrier of Stoney Plains, Alberta, Gail Kerby (Doug) of Agassiz, and Darlene Halfnights (Bill Belziuk) of Williams Lake. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Shelley (Calvin), Cheryl (Chris), Jackie, Debbie (Paul), Eric (Erin) and Daryle (Trina); 6 great-grandchildren, Melissa, Noah, Kendall, Brynn, Edyn and Cadence; sisters-in-law, Florence Daniels and Marlyn Daniels and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wilfred was predeceased by his wife Phyllis in November 2011; his parents Hiriam and Elizabeth and only brother Elmer.
Wilfred was very proud to have served his country in the army as part of the 14th Canadian Hussars and the Manitoba Dragoons during WWII.
The family would like to thank the Fraser Health care aides and the staff of Cascade Lodge for all their care and support during his time with them.
A memorial will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation in Wilf’s memory.
