Wilfred "Cary" Weiss

Wilfred "Cary" Weiss, 72, of Chilliwack British Columbia died peacefully on June 8, 2018. He would want all to know that Cancer did not take his life, but that the Tall Grey's finally punched his ticket to Zeta Reticulli for his next round of golf.

He was admired and respected by his peers for his unique sense of humour, quick wit and sometimes brutal honesty. Earlier in life, he was an accomplished academic, water skier, hockey player & golfer. Later in life, he was a less accomplished Food Critic, extra-terrestrial research scientist, Backseat Driver & Home Improvement Officer. For whatever he was, he was passionate and did things with conviction & purpose.

Cary, his brother Harvey, cousin Lex & good friend Tom owned and operated a successful Real Estate Development company that might be more notably defined by the partnerships they created than the properties they built. He leaves behind valued friendships from the numerous partners that supported them in building their empire over the past 40 years.

He was a kind and caring man who did not always express his emotions in the traditional way, but you always knew he cared greatly. He loved his family, and is survived by his wife Maureen, sons TJ & Jamie; granddaughters Madison & Lexie; brothers Harvey & Les; numerous cousins & extended family planet wide; and uncountable connections & friendships that he managed to develop and maintain over his 72 short years. He left all with an eternity of stories and laughter from the many hats he wore throughout life.

Please do not send flowers, but if compelled, feel free to make a donation to www.letsfcancer.com and/or www.bccancer.bc.ca/donate to help support awareness and research of this terrible disease that plagued Cary for his last few years.
