Waneta Cathleen Charlain Sabo
November 1, 1952 - October 12, 2017
A beautiful soul has left us too soon. Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Auntie, Sister and Friend.... Waneta passed away on October 12, 2017 at the young age of 64, surrounded by "love".
Waneta Friesen was born on November 1, 1952 in Chilliwack, BC to Art and Neta Friesen. She was the youngest of 6 children, and often spoke of all the wonderful memories she had, being part of such a big family growing up on the farm.
Waneta's career and passion was hairdressing, in which she had just recently retired. There wasn't a niece, nephew or grandchild that didn't "pop in" to Waneta's Hairloom to get a trim, or a new "do". Family and friends were Waneta's love and joy, and she will be missed tremendously.
Waneta is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Dale; her children, Dwayne (Marni) and Shandis (Paul); her stepdaughters Marcy (Justin), Amy (Rich) and her beloved grandchildren Colton, Shawna, Tyler, Nathan, Kate, Anthony and Mathew.
Waneta is also survived by her sister Karen, brothers Al (Bev), Darv (Pat), Dale (Debbie) and many nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by both parents, her brother Wayne and brother-in-law Jerry.
Come help celebrate the life of our beautiful "Waneta", at her Celebration of Life being held at Yarrow Community Hall, Saturday, November 4th, 4pm - 9pm. Sandwiches and refreshments will be served, and a cash bar will be available.
As mom always said...... "Hey, it's 5 o'clock somewhere!"
