It is with sad hearts that we announce that Walter "Jake" Jackson passed away on Tuesday, December 24 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 82 years. He was born November 25, 1937 in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Walter is survived by his wife Arlene, children Brenda(Terry), Gordon, Kevin and Timothy(Linda). Grandchildren Lisa(Ken), Brandon, Matthew(Jenaya), Aaron, Amanda(Josh), Melissa(Josh), Shawn(Louise), Lauren(Skylar), Rachel and Dakota. He is also survived by his siblings Beverly, George and Jane; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Clara, and sisters Genevieve and Judy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 1:30 pm at Henderson's Funeral home on 45901 Victoria Avenue. A tea will follow at the Chilliwack Curling Club on 45550 Spadina Ave at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Walter's favourite charity, BC Children's Hospital.
