Walter Gordon VAN DIJK

August 9, 2004

Born in Chilliwack in 1968, he passed away peacefully August 9, 2004 at Chilliwack General Hospital after a lengthy illness.

After graduating at Howe Sound Secondary School in 1986 at Squamish, he was employed in the log house industry until 1997.

He is survived by his parents, Walter John and Rose Marie; his four brothers, John Edward, Randall Thomas, Christopher Joseph, and Donald Karl, all of Chilliwack; numerous nephews, nieces in Prince George, Chilliwack and Agassiz; uncles, aunts, and cousins of Vancouver Island, Manitoba, and the Netherlands; and by a special friend, Dan Chellew.

Walter was a kindhearted, gentle, and caring person for all who knew him. He enjoyed the outdoors and taking part in family activities, especially playing cards with his dad.

Funeral services will be held at Chilliwack Cemeteries on August 20, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. with Reverend Engenio Aliosio, of St. Mary’s Parish officiating.

Walter will be greatly and sadly missed by all of us, and will forever be in the hearts of his family.
