Vivian Harriet PARKER

Vivian Harriet  Parker (nee Siddall) of North Vancouver and Yarrow, passed away quietly in her 90th year on July 5th 2006. Only four months ago, Vivian celebrated her 90th birthday with a large family gathering at her North Van. home of 65 years.

Born in Kitsilano in 1916, Vivian was raised in Yarrow, B.C. the only daughter of Ella and Will Siddall, who operated the post office and general store.

Vivian moved to North Van in 1941 to be with husband, Gordon who worked in the ship yards. They raised six children in a small war-time house in true pioneer spirit.

Vivian was predeceased by husband Gordon in 1973.

Survived by one brother, Arthur (Jeanette) of California, daughters, Marilyn Doolan (Gordon), Gail Parker, Carol Stone (Charles), and sons, Joseph (Nancy), Frank, and Raymond, (Michele). 13 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and special family friend, Coline. 

A unique service and family picnic will be held at Majuba Hill Park, Wilson Road, in Yarrow, B.C. on the afternoon of July 29th 2006.   It will be open to friends who wish to attend at Vivian’s most peaceful childhood place. A special acknowledgement of The ladies of the Lynn Valley United Church, with whom Vivian associated and volunteered for over 40 years.
