Viola Caroline Hawley passed away on March 24, 2006 at Fraser Hope Lodge at age 90 years. She was born April 8, 1915 at Rosthern, Saskatchewan. Vi is survived by daughters Arline and Linda and son Keith, 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Vi grew up around the Rosthern and Swift Current areas. She met and married Fred Hawley and they settled in Vancouver. Vi worked as a laundress at St. Paul’s Hospital, the Ritz Hotel and the Vancouver Hotel. She retired and took up crocheting, knitting and enjoying her grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2006 at 1:30 pm from the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave Chilliwack; Major Angus Haggarty officiating.
