Vicky passed away on February 20th, 2012 at Chilliwack general Hospital at the age of 89. She was born on February 23rd, 1922 in Drumheller, Alberta.
Vicky is survived by her 4 children Bruce, Larry (Claudia), Valerie and Michael (Cindy) and six grandchildren: Megan, Ryan, Leah, Justin, Kristian and Jenna. She was predeceased by her husband Lyle in 2005. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 25th, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave., Chilliwack BC. A viewing will be held on Saturday at 1:00.
Vicky came to Chilliwack as a young woman where she met and married Lyle, raised four children in a long and happy marriage. She worked at Chilliwack Senior High School as a cafeteria assistant for many years where she was fondly known as “Mrs. G.”. After retirement Vicky spent many years volunteering her time with the Chilliwack Hospital Service League. She will be remembered as a lady who would never quit. She will be missed by her family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in her name, to the Chilliwack General Hospital.
