Vernon Edward RHYMER

Vern Rhymer passed away suddenly in Chilliwack on January 27, 2005 at the age of 82 years. He was born in Macrorie, Sask. on Nay 23, 1922.

Vern was predeceased by his first wife, Catherine and brother, Roy of Victoria.

He is survived by his wife, Jean, his daughters, Myrna Sakata (Roy) and Doreen Musson (Bill), and his brother, Lloyd Rhymer (Verna). Also, three grandchildren, Leah and David Sakata, Kathryn McIntyre (Ken) and two great-grandchildren; Dawson and Jasmine McIntyre; 2 nephews and 7 nieces. Vern was also stepfather and grandfather to Jean’s children, Carolyn Tremblay (Serge), David Ringrose (Gail) and 3 grandchildren, Ashley, Tasheena and Tyrell.

Vern was a World War II veteran who served overseas (Calgary tanks). He was a member of the Chilliwack Golf and Country Club, Branch 4 Legion and the Chilliwack Probus Club.

There will be a memorial service at Henderson’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. The Reverend Miss Eve Wiseman officiating.

The family would like to thank Dr. T. Hopkins, Dr. W. Son and the staff of the emergency room of the Chilliwack Hospital.
