A loving Aunt to Lynn, Rob (Marja), Sharon (Gerry), Gary (Lisa) and their families, Val passed away peacefully at Cartier House in Coquitlam.
Born and raised in England, Val enjoyed running the Post Office (with our Grandmother) in Georgeham, North Devon.
In 1979 they made the decision to immigrate to Canada to be nearer our family. Val enjoyed many weekends exploring everything BC had to offer - hiking, camping, seawall walks, a general enjoyment of everything to do with the outdoors.
Upon the passing of our Grandmother and her pendingretirement, Val relocated to Chilliwack to be closer to our Mum. Joining the 'Ladies of Hazelwood Grove' for wine afternoons,
Sunday dinners out and card nights, Val soon got involved with the Chilliwack community.
This was the beginning of her volunteer time at the Great Blue Heron Reserve. She loved spending her time greeting clients in the gift shop and connecting with the Vendors, some
who became long time friends.
Always very independent and private, we were glad to be there as her family when her health began to decline. She is now at peace and we are happy knowing she is with those she loved who left before her.
Rest well Auntie Val and remember, no matter the question, the answer is always 'whatever.
