Tove Birgitte Nørgaard SØRENSEN

We are saddened to announce the sudden, but peaceful, passing of a much loved wife and mother. Birgitte passed away at home on June 1, 2017. She will be missed by her husband Holger, and is survived by her children Ingrid (Patrick) and Daniel (Yuri). Birgitte was born in Faaborg, Denmark, and moved to Canada in 1982. Upon arriving in Canada, she took up residence in Chilliwack, British Columbia where she and Holger raised a family. Together, they spent a great deal of time travelling the western parts of Canada and the United States. She took pride in arts, crafts, cooking, a good political debate and all things Danish. She cared dearly for her family and friends, and took great joy in family gatherings. She is remembered for her warm heart and her devotion to nature. No bird, cat, or friend went hungry in her presence. A private gathering to celebrate her life will take place at a later date.
