Gauthier; Thomas Jack. February 10th 1956 - September 1st 2013. It is with very heavy hearts we announce the passing of Thomas "Tom" Gauthier, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Tom was born in Sudbury, Ontario, February 10th, 1956 to Gerard and Jean-Marie Gauthier. Fifth born of nine children, he and his large family made their way across Canada until eventually settling in Chilliwack in summer of 1968. A little over a decade later, Tom met his soon to be wife, Laurel. Tom is survived by his wife, his seven children; Lynn, Sandra (Doug), Georgina (Andy), Melissa, Jordan (Amber), Jeanette (Eddy), Thomas Jr., and their honorary kids, Kyle, Krystal (Sloan), and Johnny. As well as his grandchildren; Kyle, Tyler, Jordan, Justin, Daila, Dearra, Chelsea, Chastiny, Morgan, Atreyu, and Dominic. He is pre-deceased by his daughter, Anne-Jean. Tom was known as a jack of all trades to anyone who was familiar with him. A hard worker throughout his entire life, he did everything he could to provide for his family. He was an outdoorsman through and through. For over twenty years, him and his family lived in Columbia Valley on their farm. This kept them in the environment they love, and allowed their family to grow.
A celebration of life is planned for the 21st of September at the Columbia Valley Community Hall. Service will start at 1:00 pm and is open to anyone who wishes to pay their respects.
