Thomas Alyoysius BURTON

Thomas Aloysius Burton age 65 passed away unexpectedly on the 13 October 2005 in the Chilliwack General Hospital. Tom was born on the 13 November 1939 in his beloved Little Harbour, Newfoundland. He served as an Engineer in the Canadian Forces for 30 years. Tom retired in Chilliwack where he lived and worked for the past 22 years. Tom is survived and will be lovingly remembered by sisters; Mary (Aloysius) Brenton, Phyllis (Lawrence) Okeefe, Almena Reynolds, Adella (William) English, Florence (Ed Jones) Donaway and daughters; Caroline ( Paul) Dostie, Rebecca (John) Mermichel (d) and Melissa (Dan) Kelly as well as grandchildren; Paul Dostie, Thomas Dostie, Maria Dostie; Kate Addley, Tom Rogers, and Leigh Powley, Danielle Boudreau and Mary R. Kelly,. Tom was predeceased by his wife Doreen Katherine (Nee Grant) who passed away just two short weeks before, on the 28 September 2005, father William, mother Agnes and brothers Patrick and Edward. Tom will be dearly missed by all of his family and his many friends from across Canada. Tom’s friends are invited to a Guard of Honour Ceremony which will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, (Vedder Golden Branch #230), in Vedder Crossing, British Columbia on Tuesday 18 October 2005 at 1100 hrs. Friends are also invited to a Coming Home Ceremony for Tom on 08 July 2006 in Little Harbour, Newfoundland. Donations are appreciated and may be made in memory of Toms name to a charity of choice.
