With sadness we announce Thelma passed away peacefully on April 1, 2022, at the age of 81 years. Born August 17, 1940, in Invermere British Columbia, she grew up one of five children.
After marrying in 1959 in Invermere, she traveled with her military husband Joe Feriancek to Winnipeg, Germany, New Brunswick, British Columbia, Nova Scotia and finally for her last 50 years settling in the Fraser Valley on beautiful Chilliwack Lake Road.
She retired after 20 years of work at Fraser Valley Home Support. She had a love for travel, painting, sewing and crocheting. A long-time walker with Volksmarch, she and Joe walked thousands of miles together all-over North America. Her generosity and love of life and laughter and will be missed by many especially her family.
Thelma is predeceased by mother Naomi Chrona (nee Soles, born in Castledale British Columbia), father Henning William Chrona (born in Sweden), sister Lorraine Hopkins, brothers Arthur, Eric, Edward and her loving husband of 60 years Joe Feriancek.
She is survived by three sons, Shane (Frances), Mark (Betty), and Bruce (Karen), six grandchildren; Amber (Andrew Fauht), Simon (Krystale Embree), Cody, Nicole (Stephane MacLean), Ian; and great-grandchildren Nicolas and Logan Fauht.
