Ted (Edward) MARSHALL

December 26, 2004

Ted (Edward) Marshall passed away 26 December 2004 in Chilliwack General Hospital at 83 years of age. Though born in Boston Lincolnshire England, he resided in Chilliwack for nearly 40 years and was a world traveler all of his life.

Ted proudly served in the British Merchant Marines, RAF, RCAF, and at CFB Chilliwack. He took great pride in his involvement with the Masonic Lodge and eventually belonged to both Agassiz and Chilliwack lodges in varying roles.

Ted's luck allowed him to survive two tragedies. He was one of the few survivors of the sinking of the Dunbar Castle in the English Channel and in 1949 he was buried alive at a work site. His determination, love and devoted energy carried him to the end.

In 1994, Ted was predeceased by his first wife Faith and early in December 2004 by his sister Grace.

He is survived by his daughters, Donna Freeman of Edmonton, Marie (Terry) Nelson of Point Roberts Washington, Teresa (Rob) Powers of Chilliwack and his wife Lillian of Chilliwack. Ted was also blessed with 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.

He was laid to rest in Vedder View Cemetery on December 30, 2004 and is sadly missed.

Our deepest thanks to the compassionate staff at Chilliwack General Hospital and the many talented doctors that cared for him in his last days.
