With great sadness we announce the passing of Sue Lock, our wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend on her 58th birthday from pancreatic cancer.
Sue was born and raised in North Vancouver and came to Chilliwack in 1975. She will be constantly missed by her husband Sandy, sons Rob (Vanessa) and Steve. Grandchildren Christopher, Cody, Cypress, Cassie, and Sage. Brother Garry Dawson, sister-in-law Laurie (Eric) Laughlin. Nieces Jennifer and Alison and nephew Chris. Several cousins, aunt Pat and uncle Rick, and her best friend Kathy. She was predeceased by her parents Pete and Peggy Dawson. Also, many others that Sue called friends.
Sue’s strength is a continuing inspiration for others. She cared most about her family and those she was leaving behind and made sure everything was in order. She had a great enthusiasm in all her endeavours.
Sue worked in banking for many years. Later she studied floral design and combined her business sense and artistic skills to build a successful flower shop, Fairfield Flowers & Gifts.
Sue enjoyed her time with her constant companion Abby, gardening, fishing, golfing, and as a volunteer with the Chilliwack General Hospital Service League.
The family wishes to thank the BC Cancer Agency’s Dr. Winston and Laurel, Dr. Oostenbrink and staff at Chilliwack General Hospital Emergency and 3rd Floor, paramedics and a very special thank you Dr. Bull for his care and support.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 17th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack.
