Oct 31, 1953 - Mar 3, 2018
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stuart Hamilton Maxwell at the age of 64. Stu was taken from us far too soon, following a prolonged and courageous battle with numerous health issues.

Survived by his partner of many years Peggy, son Trevor (Andrea), daughter Alyssa (Kyle), Peggy's son Jason (Jennifer), grandchildren Eric, Karra and Darwin as well as many cousins, extended family members and close friends.

Stu was predeceased by his father Laurie and mother Ranka.

Stu was born October 31, 1953 in England and came to Canada with his parents in 1955. They settled in Chilliwack where he spent the majority of his life. He worked as a steamfitter-pipefitter which took him all over the Province, he also spent a number of years working for Century Plumbing. In his down time he enjoyed sharing many laughs (and beverages) with his friends, listening to his favorite music, golfing, football (go Hawks!), camping and in later years he loved woodworking - creating many unique items for family and friends. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Stu was best known for his sense of humor and practical jokes - many of which will keep us laughing for years to come.

We would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and support staff at Abbotsford Regional Hospital ICU and also Chilliwack General ICU, 3 North, 4 South, 4 North and 5 North for their care and compassion during Stu's extended stay these past months.

Special thanks to Dr. Larsen and Dr. Yamada for their care during his last days.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life to be held from 1:30 - 4:30 pm on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Best Western Country Inn, 43971 Industrial Way, Chilliwack.

Love you Stu - See you at Woodstock.
