Stuart Bassett WILEY

June 26, 1931 to March 13, 2003. Born in Winnipeg, Man. Worked at Eaton’s, CNR Machinist in Transcona Shops, Royal Canadian Navy – Petty Officer 1st Class/Officer Cadet, Canadian Penitentiary Officer – Supervisor of Industries. He also served in the Army Reserve in Royal Winnipeg Rifles.

Stuart enjoyed music with his family band. His interests included philosophy, teaching photography, writing and volunteering with Buteko Breathing Group.

Stuart is survived by his loving wife Margaret; daughter Christine (Lanny); sons, John and Alan (Diane); sisters, Yvonne (Tom), Helen (Chester), and Verna (Gordon); 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

His brother Ronald predeceased Stuart.

Stuart resided in Chilliwack since 1973.

Private family cremation at Henderson’s Funeral Home. No service by request.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Canadian Lung Association.
