Stephen Ping-Hang TAM

Stephen passed away peacefully, at the age of 87, surrounded by his family at his home in Chilliwack.

He was born in China in 1919 and was married in 1941 in Hong Kong.

In 1967, he and his wife Bernadette immigrated to Canada, with his mother, Mary, following after. They resided in Richmond, BC.

He worked as a ProjectMana–ger at Canron, retired and moved to Chilliwack in 1982.

He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Tam and is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bernadette Tam, his two sons Michael (Roberta) and Joseph (Fanny) and by his four grandchildren, Irene (Peter), Vanessa, Jason (Charlene), and Natasha.

Stephen enjoyed traveling the world, photography, spending time with his family and watching television. He was well-respected by his colleagues, friends, family and all those who knew him. He will be greatly missed, and fondly remembered.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2006, at 12:30 pm, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chilliwack. Special thanks to Dr. John Chow for his excellent care in Stephen’s final days.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the BC Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
