Stella Thompson passed away peacefully at her home on Jan 29, 2008 in her 90th year.
Stella is lovingly remembered by her children: Joy (Mike) Holte, Ken (Bonnie), Frank and Cherie (Andy) Falkingham; her five grandchildren: Jim (Tanya), Shawn, Beckie, Dale and Natalya and three great-grandchildren: Chenoah, Kiera and Avah. She is also survived by her sister Jessie (George) Gove and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband James Clifford in 1988 and four of her siblings Mabel, Shirley, Lloyd and Oliver.
Stella was born in Nokomis Saskatchean on May 20, 1917 to Jim and Ida Rowand.
After receiving her teaching certificate she taught in many small communities in Saskatchewan. She later moved to BC where she met and married Cliff Thompson and raised her four children.
Stella loved Jesus and made him the Lord and Saviour of her life. She is now safe in his care healed and whole.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Stella’s life will be held in the spring.
