January 3, 1951 - July 2, 2016


Stan passed away with dignity at Cascade Hospice following a lengthy, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. His positive attitude served as an inspiration to all those who loved and respected him. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Sherry; son Joseph, daughter Carrie (Tim); parents Joe and Angie; brother Norman; (Lori) grandchildren; Autumn; Ethan; Chloe; Paris; Raiden; Ridley; nephew Sam; brother-in-laws Joe; Albert; (Brenda) Karl; (MaryAnn) Stephen; and sister-in-law Belinda; numerous nieces and nephews all whom he loved sincerely. Stan was born in Vancouver and completed his education in Abbotsford, following the family move to a farm nearby. He was an accredited heavy duty electrician who was employed on many major construction projects throughout B.C. Stan was also an heavy equipment operator and entrepreneur, well known in the agricultural community where he lived. His favourite pastimes included antique cars; gardening; and sports. He followed various Sci-Fi TV episodes and was a confirmed "Trekkie"! The family extends their appreciation for the care and attention given to Stan by his doctors Kroeze and Bull; the 5th floor nursing staff at Chilliwack General; and also the Cascades hospice staff. Stan will be sorely missed and forever remembered. Funeral Service Friday, July 8th, 10am at Henderson's Funeral home, 34537 Marshall Rd, Abbotsford, BC.
