SHIRLEY MAE WILLIS

1937 - 2016


Shirley passed peacefully at the Pines with loving family by her side at the age of 78. Shirley is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her husband and soul mate Clarence (Red) Willis. She also leaves her everlasting mark on six loving children, fourteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren. Mourning her loss are two sons; Chuck and Jim, four daughters; Mickey, Kelli, Kerri, Kristi and many wonderful caring friends. Shirley was born to James and Marguerite Green on July 6, 1937 in Mission, BC. She moved to Tacoma, Washington where she met and married Dad. While there they owned Red's Parkway Cafe for many years. Red and Shirley brought their family to reside in Burns Lake at the ranch on Antila Rd. in 1974. While in Burns Lake she managed the Eatons Catalogue office. In 1979 Shirley and Red moved to Chilliwack, BC where she excelled in Real Estate, achieving numerous awards for outstanding sales and hospitality. After suffering a stroke in 2007 they returned to their home town of Burns Lake.

When you finally fly away

I'll be hoping that I

served you well,

for all the wisdom of a

lifetime no one can ever tell.

But whatever road

you choose,

I'm right behind you

win or loose.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 30, 2016 at the Decker Lake Hall.
